Dvc 80 Dazzle Driver For Mac

It's not compatible with Win 7. The video wave software or the capture cable itself or both??????? The video wave software or the capture cable itself or both???????

Then why would you expect Roxio that made your software years before Windows 7 launched, to give you free software that will work in Windows 7? All i'm asking for is an upgrade for what i already purchased you wouldn't think that would be asking too much rj Probably not too much to ask, but I've got drawers filled with software and hardware from various manufacturers that Microsoft 'broke' with a new version of IE or Windows. The printers and scanners are long gone.

I've learned never to toss the older computer that works with the older hardware until I'm ready to upgrade the old hardware. An upgrade to software doesn't do much good if Windows won't recognize the hardware ( your Dazzle ). Dazzle is another company. So while I understand your frustration, an upgrade in the Roxio product wouldn't help. What you need is a 'driver' so that Win7 will recognize your Dazzle. Then you could capture and edit with the free ( downloadable ) Windows Movie Maker.

I did not make your childish posts invisible. Nor do I or anybody in this thread work for Roxio. There is only one or two Roxio emplyoee that ocassionaly post in this forum (they are identified by a Roxio symbol), there rest of us are just users (hopefully most of them are not like you). I doubt very much that they are even interested in your comments about a long dead software.

The USB Dazzle does not work on Mac. The best device I have found for transfering analog video to a Mac is the ADS Pyro A/V. I recently purchased one on ebay for $140. They retail for around $199, but it will bring in the analog video and digitize it in the box and send it the mac via firewire making iMovie think you have a digital video camera set up. My brother in-law purchased a compatible USB analog video converter for his iMac and tried to use it for 2 days before also buying the ADS Pyro A/V. The USB ones will bring the video in as analog and digitize them on the computer making the files pretty large, so I wouldn't go USB for the video, I always try to stick to firewire.
